Problems with the import tool

(1/1)

leo-aiki:
Hi Harald,
Excellent work!
I've just made a quick joomla & jdiction install and it seems to work nicely.
The export function looks OK, but I'm having trouble importing the translations (tried both options, csv and xliff).
In fact, importing the file erased everything I had in the translated version (which I had created manually) and left it blank except for the title.
Also, after that, even though I manually entered a translation for the test page I created, it appears as untranslated (no green icon).
The site is not in the root directory, in case that matters.
I'm willing to help as a tester.
Best regards,

Leo

Harald Leithner:
I'm not sure if xliff is really working, I tested it with an opensource tool but that says nothing ;-)

There was a problem in input to ignore introtext...

And the sourcehash was missing in export for csv.

So please update to the attached version and export a new list and reimport it, this should work now.

leo-aiki:
Hi Harald,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I don't think xliff is working yet (I'll help you test it, no worries).
CSV now uploads the translation, but it overwrites the source text (it takes the source or "original" element, applies it to the target language and discards the translation, or "target" one). According to my limited coding experience, there's probably an array that's one number less than it should =:).

Harald Leithner:
You are right I should use the 4 column ;-)

leo-aiki:
OK, that's confirmed =:)
I'll open another post for a strange behavior (the translate button marks the article as untranslated) so we can deal with it separately.
Thanks!

Leo
