Slides translation problem
« on: April 01, 2014, 02:27:24 pm »

Hello everybody,
I'm a Joomla newbie and really hope to find a solution here for my problem.

In my multilingual website I'm using DJ-ImageSlider http://dj-extensions.com/dj-imageslider (already found in the template I bought); it's a very good extension but when it comes to translation, JDiction only works for the categories, but not for the slides contained within.
I've already tried to duplicate the categories and slides (one for each language installed) but with no solution.
Any idea?
I'm not a tech guy, but perhaps if I could understand how JDiction works, maybe I could get out of here...I really want to keep using this excellent extension.

Thank you very much in advance for any contribution

Regards,
Max

Hello Harald,
this extension is made of a component and a module; the component has a double menu, one for the categories (see attachment), which works, and one for the slides - which doesn't.
Each slide then can point to a url, article, etc (but then there should be no problem - if it's an article I can translate it with your extension)
Here's the link to my new website (not fully working yet): http://gotrawama.net/, so you can see what I mean
Thanks,
Max

OK, but it works with the native version correct? so if you create a slide you can select the language or?

I apologize if I don't get exactly what you mean: I'm quite unexperienced, please be patient.
No, I cannot select a language for a new slide, nor there's the possibility to translate it: I can only select which category the new slide belongs to; that's why I thought that creating a category for each language would solve the problem, but invain

No, I don't know ... I can't find any reference to Joomfish neither in the documentation nor in the component/module settings

Here I am... sorry, I had to setup a new ftp account on the computer I'm working on...

The component folder name in the admin side is: com_djimageslider
The folders in the com_djimageslider/views are as in the attachment
