404 Error After adding SSL (http to https) - (solved)
« on: July 08, 2015, 12:14:47 pm »

Hallo,

I have a site with 2 Language (German and English). It works just fine. After adding SSL to our site http to https the translation doesn't work anymore.

If I go to mysite/en I can see the english site but if change the language with the language selector to de (click the german flag) then the url change https://mysite/de but:
1. on the home menu the content is still in english.
2. if I go to one menu for example "https://mysite.com/en/about-us" and change the language, the url change to "https://mysite.com/de/ueber-uns" but I got 404 Error Site.

This happen also if my entry point is in german. I cannot change to english and have the same behaviour with the content (point 1 and 2 above)

Like I said this problem occur after adding SSL. We are redirecting the traffic from http to https using 301 Redirect (using the Redirect/Rewrite Modul in IIS Webservice)

My check page:
Test   Result

Version
Library Version: 1.3.2
Joomla Version 3.2.1 is ok.
Plugin
JDiction Plugin is enabled
Languagefilter is enabled
Multiple Plugins have the same loading position (0)
Database
jDiction Database Driver is selected
Language
Seam to be good
Module
Module is enabled
Common mistakes
At least one menu item has the language set not to ALL.
At least one module has the language set not to ALL.

Can you please help me. Thank you.

https should not be a problem one website is for example https://artofhimalaya.com/en/ that works just fine, but site uses Joomla 3.4.1 and Jdiction 1.4.2.

Your Joomla version has some security issues so you are advised to update your installation.

The old Library version should work too, but maybe there is an unkown problem... and I don't have a test installation with this version any longer... if you find the problem I may could fix it for you but without test setup it will be impossible.
