Post by: geleg on December 07, 2013, 09:54:00 am
Hi,

During the last 2 months, I had no issues with jdiction but recently it stopped translating the top menu although changing the language. Can anyone help. Website is www.milareparetreat.org

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Harald,

Thanks for your prompt response. The Check page of jdiction shows the following:

Test   Result

Version
Library Version: 0.9.9.10
Plugin
JDiction Plugin is enabled
JDiction Plugin is loaded at position 0 should be 1
Languagefilter is enabled
Multiple Plugins have the same loading position (0)
Database
jDiction Database Driver is selected
Language
Seam to be good
Module
Module is enabled

Haven't changed the template...still the same as before and I haven't done any updates.

Looking forward to your response.

I can't say why its not working now, but please upgrade to 0.9.9.11

and be sure that the jdiction plugin is the first that is loaded and no other plugin is at this position.

The joomla Version is missing.

Hi Harald,

Joomla version is 3.2.0

I will upgrade jdiction to 0.9.9.11....hopefully this will solve the problem. How do I prioritize the plugins? How do I move this from say position 1 to 0?

Thanks for your help.

you are using Joomla 3.2 since 2 month with jdiction 0.9.9.10? I can't believe that this was working.

For Joomla 3.2 use this version: http://forum.jdiction.org/index.php/topic,473.msg1477.html#msg1477
This fixes a problem with the editor.

you can change the position of the plugin like any other content article, problem is with the new interface of Joomla 3.x you don't see the numbers.
If you change the backend template to the other one you see the numbers and can change them by hand.

Maybe you post a list of active plugins?

ok only important are the system plugins, if you click on the small 2 arrows in the top left corner you can sort them, so filter for system plugins and click this butten, then you can drag and drop the plugins.

Yes the problem is "Easy Frontend SEO" it runs code at startup and doesn't honor Joomla plugin ordering. I sent an E-Mail to the author and hopefully he fixes it.

in the meantime you could deactivate this plugin.

The Author has confirmed the problem and has fixed it in the 2.x branch but not in 3.x so he will need some time to fix it.

Hello,
I have a similar problem - Main menu is not translated although the rest of the site does.
Strange is that after clicking any menu link (or the home logo) the translation comes up.
I have no frontpage SEO installed, i'm using the latest joomla version and the jDiction 1.4.1 please see specs below.
Any help is much appreciated

    Library Version: 1.4.1
    Joomla Version 3.4.1 is untested.

Plugin
    JDiction Plugin is enabled
    Languagefilter is enabled
Multiple Plugins have the same loading position (0)

Database
jDiction Database Driver is selected

Language
Seam to be good

Module
Module is enabled

Common mistakes
The default editor is not tinymce, jDiction does only support tinymce at the moment.

I think I fixed the Problem with Joomla 3.4.1

The checkpage is important.

The Joomla Languagefilter Plugin must be loaded before the jDiction Plugin get loaded.

Please test the new version and report back, thx.

Hi Herald, thanks for the update
Unfortunately it still doesn't work for me - The page has to be loaded twice for the menu translation to show up.
Unless i'm doing something wrong i cannot find out what causes this problem.

Checkpage is:

Version
    Library Version: 1.4.2-git.4a05e23
    Joomla Version 3.4.1 is ok.

Plugin
    Joomla Languagefilter Plugin is enabled
    JDiction Plugin is enabled.

Database        jDiction Database Driver is selected

Language        Seam to be good

Module        Module is enabled

Thank you
