Hi
I followed all the instructions in the documentation but I see no translations and no flags on my webpage.
I read a previous thread where someone had this problem and you posted a reply which included something to do with a database driver - there's nothing about that on the docs as far as I can see.
Would be grateful if you can take a look. Thanks!
-
My check page says
jDiction Database Driver is not selected
How do I select this?
-
The Database driver is the only problem?
This link should help you:
http://jdiction.org/en/documentation/installation/10-activate
the second Image shows the Database driver.

OK thanks - that's got me a step further, and a step back! I have now got the language selector on the page, but when click I get a 404 although I have made and saved a translation of that page. I'm not sure if it's important, but when I look on my "translations" tab, there is no column saying "published" with the green ok icon, as you have in the screen shots.
Now I can't even get back to my home page, because I get redirected to a translated page which doesn't exist :(
-
I think thats the permission problem on the language. please check the permissions on content.
-
I can't see anything wrong with the permissions :-\
Do you want to look at the backend?
-
I fixed it for you
-
Hi
When I click on the BG flag I still get a 404 page - do you see something different? I cleared my cache, but still getting 404 when I try to get the translation of this page

-
The content language had the wrong language tag (bg and not bg-BG) also the english content language has the wrong image tag. I changed it to "gb"
-
OK many thanks - seems to be working now! :)
Really appreciate you offering the mod & support for free. Do you have a donate button?
-
I'm working on it ;-)
atm I have this solution or flattr.

Thank you.
It was all working perfectly, until today.
I added a translation to this page
http://www.realenglishschool.eu/new/jupgrade/index.php/en/photos
but I'm getting a 404 again. I can't see anything different about this page. The only thing is, I did update to Joomla 2.5.11 this morning. Could it be that? I tried a test article elsewhere and it worked, I just can' figure out why this one doesn't. I deleted it and made a fresh one, and it still didn't work. Any thoughts?
-
Hmm, you set an alias for the menu item and it seams jdiction couldn't handle this string.
I removed it and now it works... but I didn't remembered the word to reinsert it.
The problem seams to be that the alias was uppercase and it have to be lower case, there is no filter for this atm.
-
Brilliant, thanks! :D
-
Me again :(
Have now moved to the root of my domain and it's still not working properly.
www.realenglishschool.eu
If I change to Bulgarian while on the English homepage, everything seems to work fine.
However, if I navigate to another page in English & then click the flag, I get a 404. I've checked everything I can think of but can't find a solution to this: the URL in every case has an added folder "Links" inserted before the page name, but I don't have a category called Links.
Please advise urgently, the site is now live :(
-
Sorry I did't found the problem today, I will try it tomorrow.
Do you have phpmyadmin?
-
yes I do. Will send via PM
Many thanks, much appreciated.
-
There is a problem in the menu table I couldn't fix but I used a better query in jdiction to get around this problem.
It works now.
-
OK thanks - much appreciated.
I wonder if it is a conflict caused by jupgrade? I am having issues with the order of menu items not saving & read elsewhere that jupgrade can cause this....
-
Maybe I tried jupgrade exact one time and after failing I decided to do my upgrades per copy-paste.
-
OK I am having a really bad day :-\
I used my fantastico software to remove what I thought was an old, long-abandoned J1.5 installation and I managed to somehow delete my current database :-[ I did not realise that by clicking a "remove Joomla 1.5" icon I would also be removing my 2.5!! Well, it is gone and so I am moving on - no point crying over spilt milk! Since I have to start again I'm going to install Joomla 3. Will Jdiction work on J!3?
-
Thats sad.... and Yes its working.
-
Managed to save menu items ok, but when saving an article translation I get
Error
Save failed with the following error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'fulltext FROM n1da3_content WHERE `id`='2'' at line 1 SQL=SELECT title, alias, metakey, metadesc, introtext, fulltext FROM n1da3_content WHERE `id`='2'
Thanks

Problem Solved
-
Thanks again.
What does it mean when the translation icon is orange with an exclamation mark?
(icon-status-26-2.png)
The translation seems to be ok, just wondering why it's not got a green tick? ("About Us" article)
-
This should tell you that the translation is not uptodate. Depending on the last (real) modification of translation and article.
-
Just wanted to come back and say a big THANK YOU to you for your great extension and more for offering it not only for free but also with amazing, quick, friendly support. We are now online and everything is ticketyboo - great stuff!

Hi
Another problem!
I am getting the error Fatal error: Class 'JFile' not found in [mysite]public_html/libraries/jdiction/form/form.php on line 180 when I click on Translate.
I enabled apache url rewriting - I need this as I have old URLs which need redirecting and I am using the Joomla redirect component. The error occured after I enabled this. Is there a fix?
Thanks
-
This has already been fixed, but maybe not in a released, use attached.
-
Thanks! I had actually just installed 9.10 and it fixed it! ;D
