Title: Problems with a translated site. Help please!
Post by: rayosx on February 05, 2014, 01:09:08 pm
Hello!
first of all thank you very much for this great plugin, I hope I will be able to use it on my site and make it work properly.
I've been trying to make it work for a couple of day and I can't figure it out. Every thing is translated, in the Chekc control panel everything seems to be ok, but then anything works. Some articles translation don't appear, the menus disappear, and some other errors.
I would really apreciate some help on that because i'm a bit desperate.
This is what I get when I check the system in the Jdiction control panel:

COM_JDICTION_CHECK_TEST_VERSION

    Library Version: 1.0.1
    Joomla Version 3.2.1 is ok.

COM_JDICTION_CHECK_TEST_PLUGIN

    JDiction Plugin is enabled
    Languagefilter is enabled
Multiple Plugins have the same loading position (0)

COM_JDICTION_CHECK_TEST_DATABASE

    jDiction Database Driver is selected

COM_JDICTION_CHECK_TEST_LANGUAGE

    Seam to be good

COM_JDICTION_CHECK_TEST_MODULE

    Module is enabled

COM_JDICTION_CHECK_TEST_COMMON

At least one content item has the language set not to ALL.

Thank you very much for your help!!

I think that some language parameters are set wrong.
All menu Items and modules and articles have to be set to "ALL" in the language field.

if this doesn't help, please send me a superuser account per pm, but I'm on vacation so I couldn't help you before monday

Where should I check the language parameters?
I already turned everything to all but still have the same problems.

thanks!

There where multiple problems.

I fixed:
the content languages, lang url have to be 2 characters, language tag must be 2 lower character , dash , 2 uppercharacters.
The menu Module was set to be visible only on catalan.
jDiction Languageswitcher was disabled.
