Title: XML files for k2
Post by: webcrete on January 28, 2015, 12:44:38 pm
Hello
I am using joomla 3.3.3, k2 extension 2.6.8 and jdiction 1.3.2.
Please, we need the xml files (or it is 1 file for all the elements?) to translate the content of k2 extension.
So, where can we get them and where to install.

I installed the jdiction.xml file in administrator/com_k2/  folder as i read here:

http://forum.jdiction.org/index.php/topic,605.0.html

but it did not worked (i do not see the translation column with the flags when i open the k2 items/articles.

thank you for your help

Thomas

Its only one file. I am not sure if the list flags are possible. You should find a translate button in the article.

Does it work in normal joomla articles?

Hello Harald,

Thanks for your reply..
Jdiction works perfect by joomla articles, menus etc...

But i do not see any translate button in the k2 item/article..

Thanks

are you sure the file is on the correct location and has the correct content? because this should work fine...

alternative you could try to rename the file to com_k2.xml and put it in /libraries/lib_jdiction/tables

My fault, the documentation was wrong you have to copy the file to /administrator/components/com_k2/jdiction.xml ... also the second path was wrong it should be /libraries/jdiction/tables/com_k2.xml

anyway forget the libraries folder and move the file to /administrator/components/com_k2/jdiction.xml

If you like jDiction you may consider to write a Review at JED (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languages/multi-lingual-content/21014)
