Install & Configure jDiction / Can't select jDiction DB-layer in Joomla 3.2.3

I installed the jDiction 1.1 package as described, enabled the plugin but when I go to global configuration to change the DB-layer, I can't select the DB layer fort jDiction. Also when I click jDiction in modules, I get a white screen Anybody already experienced these problems?
