I'm not sure that it's possible to have generic solution to all components/modules with one "auto-magic" plugin. There are as many components as there are different logics behind them (sobipro comes to my mind!, Virtue mart and Hikashop too !:) )
Maybe it might be easier to just have "component-specific" add-ons to jDiction Component.
For example, between the jDiction Component tabs 'Tools' and 'Check', one could find 'Component compatibility" where user could find a library of xml files that they could upload to site (better yet, that would upload the xml file straight to the proper directory!)
This gives the user the choice of which components he would like to have transations for.( And in the same time, no need for jDiction to do the search of what components are or are not installed.)
Maybe this is semi-manual, but seems the simplest path to go. And I'm sure that users are smart enough to figure out which components they want to translate.
Another possibility is to simply follow the database tables, after all, absolutely all the website information is in there. But how to go about such a feat is way beyond the grasp my comprehension.
Unfortunately, I'll be of little help to you. I'm, at best, a php 'tinkerer'.
If I can be of any help, please mail me, I'd be glad to help (maybe for documentation or translation of ini file to french language for example....)
Thank you again for all your (RAPID) help and thank you for jDiction - a marvelous tool.
I'll certainly apply for a paid membership when that comes to be.
Best regards,
Vincent
