Translations are not equal to frontend translations.
« on: October 26, 2013, 04:16:54 pm »

Hi, I have the same problem as the person in this post - http://forum.jdiction.org/index.php/topic,339.msg507.html#msg507
I have tried all that you have advised but I still could not get the cn-zh language to show on page. It still show the English version. Doesn't seem to pick up the translation I did in the backend. See the "check" section...

- Language set to All
- global config > server settings > Jdiction_mysqli

Need your assistance. Thanks!

could you rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess and activate the SEF Feature in the Joomla Setup?

maybe Jdiction has some problems with this and subdirectory.

Earlier, i changed the database type to jDiction_mysqli and all pages turn to 404 and "jDiction Database Driver is not selected" appeared in "check" section of jDiction comp. Then I switched to mysqli at database type and the website came out of the 404 and showed correctly. However the translation part is still not correct.

Glad to inform that reinstalling everything has fixed the problem. I started from scratch again by reinstalling Joomla, then first installing the jDiction before anything else. Then I went to "check" under jDiction component to see if all is good. Make sure your db is mssqli when u set up then switch it to jdiction_mssqli. When everything in "check" section are okay, test it to see if it translate. Oh, don't forget to install the language that you wish to include ad set it to "public". I also had a missing flag for Chinese language. I went into comp folder and find the flag image in png format. Opened up what I suspect to be a China flag and changed the filename to match the settings I put in Language. That's it! All my problem solved. Thanks to the support given and I am very happy with both the support and product. Will use jdiction again but next time around I it will be the paid version. Thanks!!!

Good to here. There can be many reasons for this problem. Mostly its another component.
