Can't save any translations
« on: November 09, 2013, 10:00:23 pm »

Hello guys!
I'm setting new webite for one of our high qualitty products so I decided to do multilangual page (Slovenian, English and German), I was using JoomFish on old site but it doesn't support J 3.x so I can't use it on new one. So I found out jDiction which looks pretty nice - but after installation I can do translation but only tittle is saved. Translation of article is simply gone when I open next time. I attacked few images - thanks for any help in advance.

Kind regards,
Matevz Sauperl

Well, default was TinyMCE, so I tried CodeMirror > didn't worked and then I setted to "Editor - none" and now it works, but it's problematic to write article. Now I must write every BB code by myself - so can this be fixed?

But thanks for help a lot!

Kind regards,
Matevz Sauperl

P.S.: Another question :) Can I somehow set that after change language the image at first page is changed? (now it's in Slovenian language, then it would be in English or German language), and this image is integrated directly into template.

No, banner image - here is link to page: http://medina.tevzeve-dobrote.si/index.php/en/ << and in template there is banner at first page ;) So can I insert somewhere some code or something that after language is changed, image is changed too?

So like this:
Image when Slovenian language is set: http://medina.tevzeve-dobrote.si/templates/jf_calla-exteriors/images/banner.jpg
When English language is set: http://medina.tevzeve-dobrote.si/templates/jf_calla-exteriors/images/banner_en.jpg
and when German is set: http://medina.tevzeve-dobrote.si/templates/jf_calla-exteriors/images/banner_de.jpg

I don't know if you can help here or not - but if you can I would be really thankfull.

Kind regards,
Matevz

Sorry didn't have time till now.

You could do this with some code in the template, but thats out of the scope of jdiction.

If the banner is a module you can create one for each language.

Hi,

the issue with saving articles is still evident.
Only with setting "Editor - None" I am able to save the content of an article!

With any other editor it doesn`t work. I use the newest version from jdiction 0.9.9.11, Joomla 3.2.0, database jdiction_mysqli.

Without an working editor it is difficult to give the content to translate to someone, as not everyone will be used to work in sourcecode!

Is there a solution?

Hi Harald,

With TinyMCE it seems to work now, I have still to work a little bit more with it.
With Joomla CK the changes wouldn`t be saved, so the old content stays after saving.

Thank you for ypur excellent work!

Hi,

I don`t understand, but today it works suddenly not more, I have nothing changed. In the backend the translation is stored correct, but in the frontend the translation will not be shown.

This are the results of the component check, this seems also OK:

Version  Library Version: 0.9.9.12-alpha.5045e54
Plugin  JDiction Plugin is enabled
Languagefilter is enabled
Database  jDiction Database Driver is selected
Language  Seam to be good
Module  Module is enabled
